Welcome

Hey Everyone! Welcome to my new and improved Blog. My name is Jeremy Arnold and I am a wedding photographer in the Kansas City area. I am married to my best friend and the most amazing woman ever. Melanie is a great support system and also helps me out by assisting me on most of my photography adventures. I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love and to meet so many amazing people. God has truly given me a passion for helping people remember the moments in their life that they will cherish forever.

Please, take a look around and learn a little bit more about me and what I do. If you are interested in seeing more of my work or would like to know a little more information about my services, click on the portfolio link above. Thanks for stopping by!

Isaac and Libby - Married!

Over the weekend, Melanie, Dustin, Jenni (Dustin’s Wife) and myself made the trip to the great city of Floyd, IA to shoot Isaac and Libby’s much anticipated wedding.  These two amazing people are so much fun to be around and have a way of making everyone come in contact with, feel special.  Although they are from a very small town, their wedding had SOOOOOOOOOO many people at it, which was a true testament of how many people truly love them.  They had chairs set up outside of the sanctuary in an attempt to allow more people to see it.  If anymore people were to come, they would have had to set up a satellite room for people to watch it via live stream. ;)  Seriously…they have that much coolness going on.  Anyways…back to the topic at hand…two awesome people getting married.  Here are a few (VERY FEW) of the highlights from the day.

The Bride

The Groom.

Details.

Wedding Party Ownage…

Some Portraits…Good Light + Tall Grass + Awesome Couple = Too Easy.

And of course we had to end the night with an awesome firework show!

Tarik and Sarah - Married!

Again, it is 4 in the a.m. and I am too tired to continue editing…When people go to sleep at 10, the work just begins and it usually ends with me closing my eyes a few times before I get the blog posted.  Anyways…On Saturday, I had the pleasure of shooting Tarik and Sarah’s super colorful wedding.  As you can see from my colors on my website and blog, I love deep red’s and this wedding was full of very deep red’s.  I felt like I was in vision heaven. Ok…back to the topic at hand.  Tarik and Sarah are such a fun and goofy couple. Their wedding at Club 1000 was a total reflection of their personalities.  As you will see in the pictures below, fun is at the top of their list and that is just my kind of couple!  Thanks, Tarik and Sarah, for allowing us to be a part of your big day.  We had a blast!  Check out how much fun we had…

Tarik is a goofy dude…check out how fast this next sequence went down hill….or up hill…depends on how you look at it. ;)

Yup, the kids were super cute too!

Ladies and Gentleman, this is how it’s done!

Colorful Ceremony…

After the ceremony, we had the chance to go onto the roof to take some pics.  A lot of photographers have taken pics up here, but I hope we were able to make the a little Jeremyish different. :D

The reception featured some awesome break dancers…

Until next time…

Tony and Heather - Engaged!

I couldn’t really tell you how, but I swear I shoot the funnest couples ever!  I have known Tony and Heather for a few years and they have always been very fun and spontaneous people.  When talking to Heather about their engagements, I was happy to hear they would go all out and show their fun and spontaneous personalities by wearing some awesome 70’s gear.  Tony was rockin’ some awesome alligator skin (real?) shoes while Heather was killin’ it with the accessories.  Check out some of my favs from their shoot.

See you two in Chicago for the wedding!!!

Curt and Kimbra - Engaged!

Curt and Kimbra wanted to get some engagements done before they head to the Bahamas to tie the knot later this year.  I am so glad they contacted me because they were such a fun and easy couple to shoot.  They were down for anything, even sitting in snake filled grass. ;)  Couples like this make my job too easy!  Here are some of my favorites from their session.

Tony and Melisa - Engaged!

This past week, I had the opportunity to fly down to NYC to shoot some engagements for Tony and Melisa.  I had a blast hanging out with them for a few days and loved getting to know New York City in a non-touristy way.  We ate at some fabulous restaraunts including Lombardie’s Pizza .  It was really a pleasure getting to see what real New York City life is all about.  I am trying to get caught up on some stuff, so I can’t post many images, but I did want to show a few of my favs…enjoy!

Brooklyn Bridge…Classic!

This last little series tells the whole story…

Ehren and Jamie: Married!

On Saturday, I shot Ehren and Jamie’s wedding in Lawrence.  This was seriously one of the funnest weddings I have ever shot.  Ehren and Jamie are so fun to be around and so are all of their friends.  I am not gonna lie, it was VERY hot on Saturday, but Ehren and Jamie and their bridal party were such troopers and wanted to do whatever it took to get awesome pictures.  I seriously could not have asked for a better, more cooperative group of people.  Having said all of that, let’s get on to some pictures…

Ehren started out the day with some Ultimate Frisbee at Free State High School (my high school).

after that, Dustin and I headed over to Jamie’s house to get some “getting ready” shots!

The flower girls were super cute…

A couple of details.

Jamie putting on some finishing touches before the ceremony.

All of the ladies were adoring Jamie

Here is a shot Dustin got of Ehren getting ready…

I LOVE these next two images… All of the girls are praying for Jamie.

And…off to get married!

Now LET THE PARTAY BEGIN!!!

Oh, Wait…WE HAVE PORTRAITS TO TAKE!

One of my favorite portraits of all time…

The wedding party couldn’t wait to get started and I don’t blame them…

Here is one of the wedding party…they were so wild and I LOVED IT!

Now to Abe and Jakes for the reception

They couldn’t help but to sing to each other during the first dance…

I have SOOO many fun dacing shots…I had a tough time just picking out a few.

Get low, low, low, low…

On that note, I really need to get to bed.  It’s 6am, the sun is out and I have to wake up in a few hours to go hang out with the family…wow…im tired.

Ryan and Jill - Engaged!

I am literally about to fall asleep while blogging this so if I say something silly, please forgive.  Posting blogs at 4am is becoming far too common, but I find that I work much better at night.  Having said that, I must get some sleep so that I can have a half productive day tomorrow.  Ryan and Jill are a super cool couple and I am so glad that they took Jamie’s advice on having me shoot their wedding!  Any excuse to make it out to Lawrence will do, but shooting a couple like Ryan and Jill just makes it that much better.  Throw in some Quintons, awesome light, and a private golf course that used to kick my butt and you have one very fun trip to the best college town in the United States!  Here are just a few of my favs from the shoot.

Until next time…

Nathan and Rebekah - Engaged!

I always love shooting old friends.  Once again, I was reminded of the fact that you really never know what God will bring your way.  If you would have told Nathan and I in high school that I would be shooting his wedding 7 years after we graduated, I would have laughed in your great looking face. After not seeing each other for WAY too long, I honestly had no clue what to expect.  I wanted to catch up a little bit before we shot the session and it felt like we had never missed a beat.  Speaking of beats, Rebekah seems to think that Nathan is a pretty good beat boxer.  Thanks Nathan, I will go ahead and take credit for that!   ;)    One thing I cannot take 100% credit for is how natural Nathan and Rebekah were in front of the camera.  I felt like all I had to do was sit back and capture them just being themselves.  Here are some of my favorite images from our time with them!

David and Natalie - Portraits/Reception

I will start out by apologizing for just now getting this post up. I am usually able to get blogs up within a couple of days of the event, but I have just been so busy this past week that I was not able to post a blog. Anyways…you don’t want to hear me make excuses, you want to see some pictures!

David and Natalie got married at the end of last year in a very intimate setting. Last Saturday, they got all dressed up again for some fun portraits and a little reception. It was such a relaxed day of hanging out and playing a little rock band ( Me + Rock Band = F to the AIL ). Here are some of my favorite images from the day!

David took a break from getting ready…

Back to business

I’m not gonna lie…the reception had some good little snacks!

Some cake cutting!

And we ended the night with some…you guessed it…ROCK BAND!

Danyelle and Josh - Wedding

A day before my birthday (April 24th), I joined Heather Cole (check out her blog) to shoot Danyelle and Josh’ wedding at the Longview Mansion.  It was a supafun wedding with supacool people at a supasweet location with a supagoodlooking couple. <— you like that?  Don’t lie!  Anyways…here are some of my favorite images from the day!

Had to get one of the Boquet!

Let the Partay begin!!!

Thanks for having me, Heather!!!
